For dentists who wish to branch out into new areas of practice or to assist their patients with a wider range of cosmetic needs, Botox is a natural option. This safe, effective injection can help reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles. It is an increasingly popular anti-aging treatment among men and women alike. For dentists who wish to begin offering BOTOX® treatments, the first step is training. Learn more about Botox training for dentists via The Aesthetic Immersion.
Are Dentists Able to Perform Botox Injections?
In most states, a dental license will permit practitioners to offer Botox injections. There may be some caveats to this: For example, your dental license may only allow you to perform injections around the mouth. It is always wise to double-check with the licensing requirement in your state.
Simply being allowed to offer Botox is half of the equation. The other half is gaining the skills needed to perform Botox injections safely, confidently, and with optimal results. This is what The Aesthetic Immersion is all about.
Why Dentists Should Train to Perform Botox Injections
Whether to better serve patients, to expand your practice, or simply to satisfy intellectual curiosity, Botox training for dentists can be extremely rewarding. The courses we offer at The Aesthetic Immersion are designed with practicing dentists in mind, focused on helping them achieve all of their professional goals. Here are a few reasons why dentists seek Botox training.
Your Dental Patients are Getting Botox Treatment
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, there are as many as 7.7 million Botox injections administered each and every year, and that number just continues to rise. The simple fact is people want to look younger, and Botox is one of the safest, most effective ways to do so. Dentists should know that their patients are getting these injections somewhere, so why not allow them to get their treatments from you? Get the training you need to satisfy this consumer demand.
Your Knowledge of Facial Anatomy is Already There
Not all Botox injectionists are created equal. Some Botox providers offer subpar results, or even put their patients’ lives at risk, because they lack foundational knowledge in facial anatomy. Dentists understand the anatomy of the face fully well, having received meticulous training in dental school. This provides a built-in advantage to safe and effective Botox treatment. The Aesthetic Immersion provides training courses that expand on this existing knowledge base, allowing you to take your skills even further.
Learn Additional Methods of Treatment for Jaw Pain and Facial Pain
Dentists do not merely treat the teeth. They also help patients who suffer from symptoms of jaw pain or facial pain, such as the discomfort caused by TMJ. By mastering Botox, you will have another option for treatment. Specifically, Botox can be highly effective in alleviating the pain caused by muscle spasms. In short, Botox training is useful to dentists because it gives them still another way of addressing the pathologies their patients are struggling with.
Utilize Your Experience and Credibility to Entice Current and Prospective Patients
As a dentist, you already have a practice, a roster of patients, and a reputation for skill and clinical authority. By seeking additional training, you can propel to even higher levels of clinical success.
Because you are a professional in the field of dental healthcare, you already have the trust of patients, and you understand that your clinical acumen goes a long way. By branching into Botox treatment, you will hit the ground running as a trusted, competent provider of medical aesthetics.
And, for the patients who already entrust you with their dental health needs, you will have still another way to assist them in looking and feeling their best.
Improve Your Dental Practice and Increase Its Monthly Revenue
The bottom line for dentists is that by expanding the services you provide your patients, you can not only make your practice into more of a healthcare destination; you can also boost your monthly revenues.
Botox provides a natural way to do this. For dentists who already have great familiarity with facial anatomy, and with basic principles of clinical practices, learning to administer Botox is a logical step forward. And it allows you to build on existing skillsets while also addressing a significant patient need.
Medical aesthetics, including Botox, are booming in popularity, and that provides a golden opportunity to grow your dental practice.
